Robert Pattinson Says ‘Hold On To Me’ To Carey Mulligan (Formerly Known As ‘Nancy And Danny’)

Robert Pattinson Says 'Hold On To Me' To Carey Mulligan (Formerly Known As 'Nancy And Danny')

While it would appear that Robert Pattinson is back together — or at least hanging out with — Kristen Stewart (just in time for their ‘Breaking Dawn’ press tour, which is surely no coincidence), the actor continues to line up an impressive array of projects. And already attached to movies with Werner Herzog and David Michod, he’s got another non-Hollywood filmmaker that’s lining up in his schedule.

Pattinson will join Carey Mulligan in the previously announcedNancy And Danny” which is now called “Hold On To Me.” But this isn’t some swoony romance. Penned by Brad Ingelsby (“Out Of The Furnace“), and set to be directed by James Marsh (“Project Nim,” “Shadow Dancer“) the story follows a money hungry woman, whose life didn’t turn out the way she wanted, who uses a man as a pawn to help land her high school crush in a get-rich-quick scheme. And that plan is to bury the town’s richest man in box and hold him for ransom, but of course, things don’t go as they’re supposed to.

The film also brings Pattinson into the orbit of another great filmmaker, Todd Field, who is producing the project after being originally attached to direct (he’s now focusing on “The Creed Of Violence“). Now before anyone gets too excited, this is a package project headed to the American Film Market, which means that if it doesn’t get some decent pre-sales, it ain’t gonna happen. But Pattinson is clearly done with blockbusters for the moment, and we like everyone involved, and given the talent on board, we don’t see why this can’t make a planned 2013 shoot. [Deadline]

oh this boy is so handsome i love him but i wont see him but i want say to him u are number one..:)

he is a very good and talent actor, before you said anything 'go and watch all his movies, then voice your opions if you must.' I 'm so happy for him that so many different directors want to work with him. they must see something special in him.

I keep reading this 'They're all 14' accusation leveled at anyone who expresses an interest in Pattinson's career. It's nonsense. This actor can act, and act well, as is surely evident from the shower of roles he is getting. I do wish people would set aside their prejudices and go and see Cosmopolis so they can see for themselves that The Twilight Saga showed nothing of what Pattinson is capable of. Time for a rethink folks.

Mr. Jagernaus, and what exactly has his private life to do with his professional life. You sound pathetic. You call yourself a Journalist ,well you sound like a gossip writer like Perez, Perez is just funnier. So you concentrate on the news , report about this great opportunity , what will give Patterson another venue to shine. here is a tip , keep Edward and Bella out of your future reports

Probably, what Jagernauth meant by say 'At least hanging out … 'Is surely No coincidence', is that probably, because of the movie, they already needed to meet, for to meeting for work, interviews, etc.

But I must say, so fast with her, he may just to looks like a doormat.

Will he play a doormat in the movie like he does in real life? lol loser. He's lucky he gets to work with a alister like Carey. Twatlight certainly does him wonders.

What exactly does his private life have to do with the movie role in 'Hold On To Me'?

Get your priorities straight as a reporter, Mr Jagernauth, because this article just reads as you desperately wanting attention by way of making snarky and inaccurate comments. And just for argument's sake, there IS such a thing as 'coincidence'. What was he supposed to do, wait to reconcile with her at a time that's more convenient for you? It's Pattinson's life. So how about you stick to what you get paid for – report on his movie roles in a PROFESSIONAL manner, because what you said sure as hell didn't convey that.
