IT WAS A GREAT SHOW! EDDIE SEEMED VERY COMFORTABLE AND HIS FRIENDS SPOKE VERY GENUINELY FROM THE HEART ABOUT HIM. HE IS THE MOST FUNNIEST TALENTED COMEDIAN(next to Richard Pryor) IN THE WORLD. WHEN ARSENIO ASKED HIM TO TAP DANCE I THOUGHT THAT WAS HILIRIOUS! HE STILL HAS HIS MOJO HE’S JUST A WEALTHY MAN WHO DOENST HAVE TO DO A SONG A DANCE FOR A LIVING…..DO YOUR THING EDDIE! GREAT SHOW!

Eddie seems heavily medicated.

Is there a way to find this online in its entirety?

I enjoyed it, especially the Stevie Wonder duet, the standing ovation encouraged by Charlie Murphy, and Chris Rock's bits.

Eddie explained it best when comparing it too hearing someone sing "Happy Birthday" to you. Where do you look, what do you do? Do you keep chanting thank you or smile through it. A 2 hour tribute for anyone can be awkward , but the personal stories and look back on so much great work was refreshing and deserved. Made me want to go watch Eddie Murphy work immediately.

The show was terrbile. Turned after 30 minutes. Felt bad for everyone involved and watching.

I agree. It all felt forced. I wonder how Murphy must've felt being 'honored' to play a jive-talking donkey or Norbit. Throughout the evening, there were moments where I couldn't tell if the presenters were giving back-handed compliments or executing failed attempts at humor. When Arsenio asked him to tap dance, I was done.

He seemed uncomfortable most of the night. At the end when he spoke he referred to himself as, "a very bitter man." The audience laughed it off. But I think he was dead serious. Eddie has not been "Eddie Murphy" in quite a while. And that's okay. People change. He just seems to be very aloof these days. It's too bad. As someone who was a child of the 80's I remember Eddie's prime well. Eddie at his peak blows away any comedian who came after him. I wish he could get that mojo back.

It felt strange. I love Eddie Murphy but the evening felt unnecessary. The begging of his career was historic and he made amazing movies but recently his movies have been horrible. He doesn't really need the money so he should be making movies that really mean something. He was sitting with a women he is just "dating" not even a fiance or he's wife…..he just seems very shallow nowadays. I have no interest in him now.
