Watch: Clip From 'The Dark Knight Rises' DVD Extras About Tom Hardy's Transformation Into Bane Plus Early Concept Art

More goodies from "The Dark Knight Rises" as you head into your Thanksgiving weekend. In case you missed it, earlier today a whopping 45 photos dropped from the movie, all centered around the vicious mid-film battle between Batman and Bane, showing the intensive work that went into constructing that memorable sequence. And now, we're going to take one step further back to see how Tom Hardy transformed himself in the first place.

A clip from the upcoming home video extras will give you a peek behind Hardy's weight gain so he could be fully beefed as Bane. But perhaps more intriguingly is the concept artwork for Bane, along with an image of the actor pre-CGI, just hanging out in an office with his tats wearing the iconic mask. Yep, still looks pretty intimidating.

Anyway, take a peek at everything below. "The Dark Knight Rises" arrives on Blu-ray Combo Pack, DVD and Digital Download December 3rd in the U.K. and December 4th in the U.S. [The Sun/ScreenCrush]

Ohh I loved the character in the movie..better than the comic version. Tom Hardy pulled it off so well…OMG especially the mask and tom hardy bane coat which you can order online from http://goo.gl/ULrAxN

I understand that Bane character is very hard to pull off in a feature film but TDKR Bane design is awful. Early designs are not better either. I like Hardy but Nolan should have cast someone with better physique. Sorry… Hardy was just fat. Bale seemed to be better built than Hardy, Wasn't Batman supposed to be physically weaker than Bane?
