Gorgeous 'Life of Pi' Filming Locations in Pondicherry, India

Among the settings used for the film gorgeously shot by cinematographer Claudio Miranda are the Botanical Gardens, which were transformed into Pi's family's zoo; the Pondicherry pier, on which Pi and his love share a melancholy farewell; and the town's idyllic French Quarter, which serve as the backdrop for many of the film's early sequences.
