Academy Participates at Sundance for First Time Ever, Presents Conversation with Producer Will Packer

As part of the Academy Conversations series, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and the Blackhouse Foundation will present a conversation with producer Will Packer ("Think Like a Man," "Takers") at Sundance on January 19. This marks the first time the Academy has participated in one of the festival's programs.

The conversation will be held January 19 at 3:30pm at Buona Vita in Park City, and will be moderated by Blackhouse Foundation chairman Brickson Diamond. They will discuss Packer's career trajectory. The producer became a member of the Academy in 2012. Following the conversation, a presentation will be given on Oscar qualification rules, filmmaker engagement, educational programs, festival grants and membership.
