Barbra Streisand has made a directing deal with production and sales company Aldamisa International. No word yet on the film, but reportedly Streisand is considering several projects.
This marks the first time in more than 15 years that Streisand has gotten back in the director's chair; her last helming venture was 1996's "The Mirror Has Two Faces," in which she starred along with Jeff Bridges. Meanwhile, her recent role opposite Seth Rogen in holiday box-office disappointment "The Guilt Trip" marked her first starring part since "Mirror."
Streisand has been confirmed to perform at this year's Oscars. Her last time onstage at the Academy Awards was 36 years ago in 1977, singing "Evergreen" from "A Star is Born."
