Is 'The Cleveland Show' Headed For Cancellationville?

Media reports are saying that Fox’s animated sit-com The Cleveland Show is most likely soon to be no more.

The Sunday night prime time show is falling victim to low ratings and the fact, also being reported, that there is not enough time for the production staff of the show to make enough new episodes for next season. All this is spelling doom for Cleveland and his family.

Personally not that I really care. I must admit I was really looking forward to the show when it first premired mainly because I’m a huge fan of Family Guy created by Seth McFarlane (writer and director of the comedy Ted), and who also was one of the creators of the Cleveland Show. But the show just failed to deliver… Especially anything remotely funny.

The program seemed to be made up of Family Guy joke rejects, and wasn’t helped either by the character of Cleveland, who was a constantly-whining (and whiny-voiced), annoying load, who was kind of hard to love, let alone just even like.

Anyone out there sorry to see it go?

Cancelling "The Cleveland Show" would be a shame. I am a fan of all of McFarlane's shows. In my opinion, "The Cleveland Show" is the funniest. The cultural, social, and political references are just as smart and clever as any of the ones in "Family Guy" or "American Dad."

The show has heart and many episodes satirize larger and more important issues. In one episode, Cleveland tried to find his "blackness." At the heart of the show, it made viewers wonder what being black means. Did putting on a hip-hop attitude/persona make Cleveland black? No, Cleveland just is black. Now, the thing that made me really like the episode is the fact that the voice of Cleveland is Mike Henry, a white man.

Don't get me wrong. By no means am I implying that watching this show is like watching "Master Piece Theater" or "The Boondocks"; however, it certainly much better than watching "Beavis and Butthead." If you think "Family Guy" and "American Dad" are funny, then there is no reason that "The Cleveland Show" shouldn't amuse you.

Not a fan of Family Guy so I was never watching this show in the first place. On a lark I entered an online contest and won The Cleveland Show first season on DVD. I still haven't watched it…

All McFarlane's shows are godawful and completely unfunny.

good riddance. i never got the show.

Not really surprised they put it in the 6:30/7:30 death time slot for animation domination…they don't really advertise it, it has it's funny moments, but for the most part… They should change it to a live action sitcom

It's Sooo bad…like to even trying to be mean but it's not funny:

:( i loved this show

Glad show is terrible and insulting just familyguy in black face!

NO!!!! Not RILO!!!!!

Was just not funny, never watched! American dad is way funnier and clever!

Cleveland was a level headed character on Family Guy….but was turned into a black Peter for his own show…how depressed i became that they did a 180 on his character….it quickly got tiring.

Oh, thank God.
