It’s that time of year when casting is underway for all the new television programs in development otherwise known as Pilot Season. I am hoping that we can continue to report more faces of color will be making their way to into your homes.
Rockmond Dunbar a television veteran known for his roles on: Sons of Anarchy, Soul Food, and The Game is joining what appears to be a hot property a new drama series entitled Doubt. The legal drama written and executive produced by House creator David Shore was part of a bidding war between ABC and CBS.
The drama centers on a former cop who’s now a cunning, but charming low-rent lawyer who uses his street smarts to work the system for his clients while battling his own demons and wooing his ex-wife. Dunbar is not the former cop described, but instead the stated cops former partner and now best friend and confidante. His role is described as co-starring, so hopefully we will see quite a bit of him.
Not sure what this means for the possibility of his feature film directorial debut Pastor Brown and its possibilities for becoming a television series for Lifetime. Many of you may have picked up this tidbit of information when Sergio interviewed him in January. You can take a look at that HERE if you missed it.
