Watch: Quvenzhané Wallis Talks To Time Magazine

Here's a short but sweet video with Quvenzhané Wallis, done for Time Magazine, in which she talks about her experiences working on Beasts of the Southern Wild.

Today, the magazine posted a series of videos called Great Performances, with several of this year's Oscar nominated actors and actresses; so, of course, there was no way they couldn't do one without Ms. Wallis.

Her hair is so gorgeous! She is so wise beyond her years. The fact that she was able to give input on everything from the script to the choice of the actor who would play her father speaks volumes.

I watched a screening of Beasts last night, followed by a Q&A session with director Zeitlin afterwards. He auditioned 4,000 actresses before he found Ms. Wallis, and what cracked me up was he said many other little girls played certain scenes very sweet, angelic, etc. He liked Quevenzhane's bold determination, and she could switch to vulnerable without breaking character. And their collaborative relationship on the film is interesting also, she is like an old soul. Love this kid.

My Girl, she's the best!

My goodness, I just adore this little girl! Every time I see her on something. She is just the cutest and most refreshingly child-like child in Hollywood. I really hope her parents keep her in her right mind and don't let Hollywood eat her alive. She seems like a smart kid with a very special gift.
