Watch: Michael Keaton Terrorizes Michelle Monaghan In International Trailer For 'Penthouse North'

Bet you forgot all about this one, but guess what, so did we. First announced way back in 2011, seemingly shot, completed and then left to collect dust, the thriller “Penthouse North” starring Michael Keaton and Michelle Monaghan now has an international trailer. And thank goodness they are both on to much, much better things.

Veteran of sorts Joseph Ruben (“Sleeping with the Enemy,” “Money Train,” “The Forgotten“) directs and plumbs the depths of this B-movie schlock, with a story about a traumatized photojournalist (Monaghan), who holes up in her swanky apartment, until scenery-chewing criminal (Keaton) comes looking for diamonds (!?). What happens next is a lot of Monaghan flailing around, falling down stairs, not helped by the fact her character appears to be blind.

Looking pretty cheap all around, and seemingly mostly confined to a single location, it’s probably not a big shock that this promptly fell off the radar. As we said, thankfully Keaton has a lot of stuff that will put this way behind him, like the Larry David HBO movie “Clear History,” the blockbuster “Robocop” and Alejandro González Iñárritu‘s comedy “Birdman.” Same deal for Monaghan who has indies “Better Living Through Chemistry” and “A Many Splintered Thing” in post.

No release date stateside yet for this (we wouldn’t be surprised it it goes straight to VOD) but it seems to be rolling out internationally. Watch below.

Monaghan is a very underrated actress and she's finally got a chance to be the STAR and carry a film. Keaton, of course, is a god. I want to see this.

I think whoever edited this trailer – and picked the horrendous music track – should be fired asap.
I don't think the film is any good but I am sure it doesn't deserve to be totally ruined it like this.

Looks like a low-rent ripoff of the great "Wait Until Dark".
