According To FOX, 'The Cleveland Show' Has Not Been Canceled - It's Just In Limbo...

Is it canceled or not?

That, my friends, is the question.

Unfortunately, I don’t have an answer for you; but what I can now report is that FOX wants to make it very clear that they have actually NOT canceled The Cleveland Show, despite speculation that the series was being put to sleep for good.

Instead, FOX is only saying that they have just not yet ordered any new episodes of the series at the moment, suggesting that they might do so later???

It’s upfront season, so it’s possible that FOX might announce the fate of the series when the network makes its own next season presentation in a few weeks.

It’s worth noting that FOX has renewed its other animated series, including Family Guy and American Dad.

But based on your reactions to Sergio’s post a few weeks ago, wondering whether the The Cleveland Show was going to be canceled, most of you seemed ready to say goodbye to the series anyway, so maybe its fate isn’t one that you’re too invested in.

Stay tuned…

Bring back the Cleveland show its awsome I love the show
Cleveland rules

I for one am really hoping that it does not get cancelled. I think if more people gave The Cleveland Show a chance, it would be definitely get renewed. The problem is that a lot of people don't know how funny it really is. Heck, I only know a few friends from my office at DISH that have even seen an episode of it. Now that I think about it, I only know about this hilarious comedy because my DISH Hopper DVR automatically records it and everything else on FOX's primetime lineup, which always introduces me to a ton of cool shows.

Fox cancelled Family Guy and it was reborn on Adult Swim. They cancelled Futurama and the show is doing well on Comedy Central. King of Hill is in syndication and it apparently has a decent following. Hopefully,Adult Swim or Comedy Central will scoop up Cleveland.

It's not funny anyway so who cares?

BET is going to pick it up. Just watch…

If they don't announce cancellation at their upfronts, the only thing that would make sense is if they ordered a half season and it returned as a mid-season replacement show for 2014 after the new 'Murder Police' concludes its premiere season.
Realistically though, there's no way it can be returning for a Season 5 in September since it takes 8 to 9 months to create an episodes. They simply wouldn't be ready in time. It seems clear they only kept it as long as they did due to them selling the show to syndication in 2010 so they needed a minimum amount of episodes which they achieved at the end of Season Four.

Isn't this the same thing that Fox did to Futurama? Not outright cancel it, but not ordering new episodes either.
