Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje Will Play Enslaved Gladiator In Paul W.S. Anderson’s 'Pompeii'

Black Panther wannabe Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje has joined the cast of Paul W.S. Anderson’s actioner Pompeii.

Adewale joins a cast that already includes Kit Harington, Kiefer Sutherland and Emily Browning, in a tale written by Michael Robert Johnson, which is set in the days leading up to the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in A.D. 79 and tells the tale of an enslaved gladiator (played by Harington) who faces the tyrant (Sutherland) who years before murdered his family and now threatens to steal his lover (Browning).

Akinnuoye-Agbaje will play another enslaved gladiator who becomes friends with Harington’s character.

Constantin Film is backing the film with Lionsgate handling distribution in the USA.

Up next for Akinnuoye-Agbaje, catch him in Thor 2: The Dark World as well as The Inevitable Defeat Of Mister And Pete
