Watch: 'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire' Preview Teases The Real Deal Trailer Arriving April 14th During The MTV Movie Awards

When we last saw Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) and Peeta (Josh Hutcherson), they had survived the perilous “The Hunger Games” and now they’re on a victory lap tour or some such thing. Surely things aren’t gonna stay that celebratory and happy in the “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” sequel for long. In fact, in the adaptation of Suzanne Collins‘ YA novels, Katniss and Peta are dethroned from their respective victory riches and put back into the arena for the most climatic and menacing of the Hunger Games, known as the “Quarter Quell” (whatever) that means. Directed by Francis Lawrence (using IMAX cameras in some segments), a new teasing teaser trailer (which, let’s face it, shows next to nothing) has arrived.

Yep, it’s more marketing for the marketing which is how things work now, so just deal. The very first trailer for “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” will debut during the MTV Movie Awards on April 14 at 9 P.M. ET (we can’t imagine any other reason you’d want to watch, unless you want to see awkward KStew moments for the upteenth time). ‘Catching Fire’ opens later this year on November 22. Analyze those frames closely, kiddies! [MTV]

Lol I love how someone who doesn't like the books or the film clicks on and reads news on them. And feels the need to spam the article with the tired bullshit no one cares about.

"Analyze those frames closely, kiddies"
Condescending. Some of us are adults.

The first film was way overrated. Even with Jennifer it was pretty bad. Perhaps Francis Lawrence can do more, but, the material gets worse rather than better as the story progresses. Like Twilight, it will still make a ton of money regardless of quality.

Bad. Like the books and like the first movie.
