Here are two Kickstarter projects that have come to my attention that I feel are worth your participation:
GHOST OF A TALE
Lionel “Seith” Gallat was a supervising animator at Dreamworks on many movies (The Prince Of Egypt, The Road to Eldorado, Spirit, Sinbad, SharkTale, etc…) and more recently an animation director for Illumination (Despicable Me and The Lorax).
He is raising funds for a video game about a mouse in a mediaieval world. His influences range…
“from Disney’s Robin Hood, the fables of La Fontaine, Redwall, Winnie the Pooh, The Secret of Nimh, The Dark Crystal, the paintings of Alan Lee, John Howe, Paul Bonner, John Bauer, and many, many others… Game-wise the inspirations could be found in the early “Zelda” games, “Ico“, the “Gothic” series and “Dark Souls“.
Check out his Indiegogo site for more information if the trailer below intrigues you as much as it has me:
Justin Rasch is a great stop-mo animator on films such as ParaNorman and Spongebob Christmas Special, as well as lots of video games. At night, he works on his personal stop motion shorts such as Gerald’s Last Day. He’s been working on a new stop-motion short film Dogonauts – Enemy Line for 4 years now. It’s fully animated and edited, but needs funding for post-production work, mainly, Score, Mixing and for 3D post and color correction.
Here’s the pitch – and here’s the trailer:
