First Full Trailer For 'Hit The Floor' (Kimberly Elise, Taylour Paige)

After 2 teasers, here’s a much better, longer, 2-1/2-minute trailer for the VH1-ordered Kimberly Elise scripted hour-long drama Hit The Floor (previously-titled Bounce), which co-stars newcomer Taylour Paige, Charlotte Ross, Logan Browninghas and Dean Cain.

Sanaa Hamri directed the pilot episode of a show that will focus on the lives and loves of a team of professional basketball dancers.

Hit The Floor follows the lives and loves of the Los Angeles Devil Girls, the dance team for the No.1 professional basketball team in the country. It centers on Ahsha (Taylour Paige), a sheltered young woman who joins the team against the wishes of her mother Sloane (Kimberly Elise), who knows this treacherous, tempting world all too well having been an original Devil’s Girl herself. Olivia (Charlotte Ross) is the shrewd squad manager, Jelena (Logan Browning) is the ruthless star captain of the dance team and Pete Davenport (Dean Cain) is the former All-Star who’s come back to coach his old team only to have to contend with the girls both stealing the spotlight and distracting his players. 

The cast also includes Valery OrtizKatherine BailessJonathan McDaniel, Rob Riley and McKinley Freeman

VH1 has now set the premiere date for Hit The Floor for MondayMay 27, 9/8c.

Not my cup of team; but then again, I’m not in the target demo. Although I’m sure I’ll check out the pilot to get a feel for the series, at least.

It’s been called “VH1’s biggest scripted effort to date.”

This show, its premise and its promo seem utterly ridiculous, unworthy of actual production, a textbook definition of everything that is wrong with "Hollywood". However, I will tune in faithfully and happily if they show these ladies in those same skimpy outfits doing jumping jacks in slow motion and/or some type of unnecessary nude scene during every episode.

Also, booty shots.

I find it interesting that they point out in the promo that this is a scripted show…I guess we've become so used to everything being "reality" television audiences have to be reminded that they're watching actual acting–by trained actors.


Will tune in, looks interesting.
