Screenings of the film are apparently being held around the country (whether private or public), as I’ve read a few reactions to the film, primarily on social networking sites. And all I can say is that, based on what I’ve seen/heard thus far, this will likely be one of those polarizing movies, that sharply divides audiences.
Can’t wait for the conversations that follows after the film is released in just over 2 months, on August 16th.
Here’s the first poster for Lee Daniels’ The Butler, which covers several decades in the life of Eugene Allen, the White House butler who served many presidents, and is loaded with a cast that includes: Forest Whitaker, Oprah Winfrey, David Oyelowo, Colman Domingo, John Cusack, Alan Rickman, Jane Fonda, Melissa Leo, Liev Schreiber, Jesse Williams, Aml Ameen, Lenny Kravitz, Cuba Gooding Jr and many more.
Music for the film is composed by the legendary Quincy Jones.
