About the Production:
“My teeth are not straight. When I was nineteen, just as I began to accept their crookedness, I wrote a script called Teeth. Many years later, I began to document the lives of teen girls in a project titled ‘Teenage Wasteland.’ Eventually my own experiences and those of the teen girls in Wasteland sparked the life of Daisy, ‘Teeth’‘s protagonist, leading me to rewrite ‘Teeth.’
In this new version, I want to talk about bullying and explore how
someone else’s negative perception of who you are has the very real
power to influence and change you and define you.” — Jennifer Cox
