Watch: The Trailer for Netflix's Next Original Series 'Orange is the New Black' Features Tears, Laughter and Women in Prison

While we’re still consumed with the new season of “Arrested Development,” with its impossibly complicated structure and elaborate set of callbacks, Netflix is already ramping up for its next original series. “Orange is the New Black” will be the streaming site’s first female-led show, based on Piper Kerman’s memoir of the same name and created by Jenji Kohan (“Weeds”). Netflix has just released a trailer for the series, which will go live in its 13-episode entirety on July 11, and which stars Taylor Schilling as Piper, who’s pulled from a comfortable Brooklyn life with her fiancé Larry (Jason Biggs) to serve a year in prison for an act of drug smuggling a decade before. Laura Prepon, Kate Mulgrew, Danielle Brooks, Natasha Lyonne and Taryn Manning also star.
