BET movie LUV….mediocre at best, really not good considering all of the talented actors in the film. I am just about fed up with BET all together. I agree with the comment, the movie was far fetched particularly with the little boy making the monumental leap from being afraid to talk to girls to being semi hardcore…now that is quite a noble accomplishment (NOT!) and all in an amazing and interesting 24 period. I have been very disappointed with BET and the continued array of Black Exploitation Television or the other wave of programming that is characterized by Booty Entertainment Television. I wish there were many more shows and programming that focuses on positive images of our people. How about a live story about our awesome first family, President and Mrs. Obama, can we please see more of them and people like them on BET, now that would inspire and entertain me. So tired of my options on BET revolving around thugs, buffoons, and skanky females. Glorifying violence, disrespect and promiscuity is wrong and as a parent raising a young black man child, I wish there were more and more positive stories to be told by BET…….just my opinion, I know, but we have so much more to offer the world than weak programming such as this.

Common was the weak link in this film. Everything else worked. Sadly, he had too big a role for it not to affect it. #thumbsdown

Lmao BET trying to win back adults … Yawn I watched it on Netflix(Luv) never watched Mary Jane… They still got work to do. TVOne in its new state has better stuff.

Being Mary Jane is a tv show…not a movie. Just sayin. I mean…in odd BET fashion it's not coming back until 2014…but it's a tv show nonetheless, and I'm addicted to it.

I luv'ed this film :)

It seems competition is starting to make BET get their stuff in gear.
