First Look At A Dreadlocked Omar Sy In Character As Bishop In 'X-men: Days Of Future Past'

If it wasn’t already clear that Omar Sy is going to play Bishop in X-men: Days Of Future Past. (there was some initial uncertainty when it was announced that he was joining the film’s cast), well, this should help.

Here’s your first official look at Sy in character dress as the son of Aborigine mutant refugees, whose powers include energy absorption and redirection, as well as superhuman physical attributes, and the ability to instinctively know his present location.

How much screen time, and how involved the character will be in the overall narrative is unknown at this time. I’d be surprised if it’s a role with any real weight, even though the character is an interesting one, with intriguing origins, and capabilities to be explored on screen.

Of course, we know that Halle Berry is reprising her role as Storm… but we already know what she looks like in character, since she’s appeared in 3 previous X-Men films.

Peggy, please define ugly? You might say in your opinion, he is not attractive, but beauty is in the eyes of the one who beholds.

I for one am very happy to finally sees a man of color in these movies white and light are not the only ones with superhuman ability in these comic book world's. And to the writer, I hope he has quite a significant amount of screen time and they developed his character to have a major impact in the plot. Because your statement seemed somewhat dismissive.

Um, I could say the dude is ugly but he's not THAT ugly. I'm just saying.

Bishop is supposed to be indigenous Australian not black African. It's unfortunate, that the producers have chosen to go this route.

"Approximately 35 to 40 years into the future, Bishop and his younger sister Shard were born in a mutant concentration camp in Sheepshead Bay in Brooklyn, New York to Australian Aborigines towards the end of the Gene War between humans and mutants."

Looks good and I hope not hear anything about him pushing Professor-X around in his wheel chair !

If they kill of Bishop early I will be pissed.

He looks good.
