First Teaser Poster For ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’ & New Image From ‘Thor: The Dark World’

First Teaser Poster For 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier' & New Image From 'Thor: The Dark World'

Comic-Con kicks off next week, and so the slurry of nerdy bits from nearly every studio will come down the pike in massive doses, but until then, here a couple of things to hold you over.

First up, here’s a new pic from “Thor: The Dark World” featuring Rene Russo looking like a boss, and Natalie Portman in the background looking scared or concerned or whatever. Of course, Russo plays Frigga, Queen of Asgard, stepmom to Thor and regal royalty all around. We have no idea what her story will involve, or how big her role is this time around (probably not that big) but we’ll find out on November 8th.

Meanwhile, “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” has dropped its first boring and obvious teaser poster. IT’S A SHIELD. It opens on April 4, 2014, here’s the official synopsis:

As Steve Rogers struggles to embrace his role in the modern world and teams up with Natasha Romanoff, aka Black Widow, to battle a powerful yet shadowy enemy in present-day Washington, D.C.

"looking like a boss" lol

Leon

Holy shit, that synopsis has terrible grammar. That second clause doesn't even have a subject.

tone-b

my big problem is that the synopsis is a sentence fragment

alex

poster is actually quite effective what were you expecting playlist explosions and captain america leaping over cars.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Skywater

Yeah, it's boring.

Seun

What's boring about it? Would you have preferred explosions and dead bodies in the background? The way the scratched paint looks a bit like blood is really effective.

Carlos

I actually like the poster.

I love Rene Russo and sincerely think that if anyone can pull off a female driven action movie with a +50 protagonist it's her.

mpbstereo

What makes it boring? I find it actually winning in its simplicity and what it teases.

Jeremy

It's not a boring poster. It's simple and effective.
