Watch: Love is a Drug for Dominic West and Helena Bonham Carter in the Trailer for 'Burton & Taylor'

Grant Bowler and Lindsay Lohan played a notorious version of Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor in Lifetime’s “Liz & Dick” last fall. Now BBC and BBC America are attempting their own original take on the larger-than-life lovers with Dominic West and Helena Bonham Carter in the roles in the original movie “Burton & Taylor.” The British trailer, below, emphasizes how the film, which is directed by Richard Laxton (“Effie Gray”) and written by William Ivory (“Made in Dagenham”), will keep to a specific moment in the screen legends’ lives — when they starred together in a 1983 Broadway production of Noël Coward’s “Private Lives.” Can the pair capture the grand tempestuousness of Burton and Taylor? Take a look below — after airing in the U.K., “Burton & Taylor” will be broadcast on BBC America in 2014.
