NYC screening info on a film we first profiled on the old S&A site in 2011…
Written and directed by Guy Hanks/Marvin Miller Screenwriting Fellowship and Jerome Foundation grant recipient, Kelvin Z. Phillips, the film is titled A Swingin’ Trio.
It’s described as a dramedy.
Homer Garçon is a not yet published, but smarter-than-every-man-in-the-room novelist. Trude Garçon-Moore is his independent, stunningly attractive, star-is-rising-fast, film producing wife. Together, their addition should equal two, but a curious Valentine’s Day dinner alters their arithmetic in life-changing ways.
The film stars Timeca M. Seretti (blacktino), Johnny Walter and LeMarc Johnson as our swingin’ trio, and it’ll be screening in NYC this Thursday, August 8 at 7PM at The Wild Project, 195 East 3rd Street, New York, NY 10009 (between Ave A & B, F train to 2nd Avenue stop).
This Thursday’s screening is part of a weekend of screenings by Fordham Alumni, featuring both feature-length and short films, documentaries, web-series, and filmed sketches!
The series runs from Thursday, August 8 – Sunday, August 10, at The Wild Project.
Tickets for each screening are $5 each.
