WATCH: Uma Thurman Is a Woman Scorned in Unsettling New Clip from Lars von Trier's 'Nymphomaniac'

Yet another enticing “appetizer” from Lars von Trier’s highly anticipated “Nymphomaniac” arrives today. In the unnerving, darkly comic clip below, Uma Thurman plays Mrs. H, a mother scorned who takes her children to see “daddy’s favorite place.”

The clip comes from chapter three of the film, entitled “Mrs. H.” We have five more to go. Von Trier offers his own oblique synopsis of the excerpt via the film’s official site: “Keeping track of a large network of lovers isn’t always easy, and Joe is soon confronted with the unpleasant consequences of being a nymphomaniac. After all, you can’t make an omelet without breaking a few eggs.”

In the film, a nymphomaniac named Joe (Charlotte Gainsbourg) shares her erotic experiences to a man who has saved her from a vicious beating. Among the costars are Thurman, Shia LaBeouf, Willem Dafoe, Christian Slater, Stellan Skarsgard, Stacy Martin and Jamie Bell.

“Nymphomaniac” hits Danish and French theaters on December 25; no stateside release plans have yet been announced from distributor Magnolia Pictures, but we can hardly wait. In the meantime, check out previous clips from “Nymphomaniac” here and here.
