The National Board of Review announced today that they will unveil their award winners on Wednesday, December 4.
For the past century, the NBR has dedicated its efforts to the support of domestic and foreign films. Each year, its members view over 250 films. In 2012, the NBR selected Kathryn Bigelow’s “Zero Dark Thirty” as its Best Picture winner.
So which films might emerge victorious this year? Steve McQueen’s “12 Years a Slave,” which recently took the TIFF audience award, also won Indiewire’s Criticwire TIFF poll, along with Alfonso Cuaron’s “Gravity.” (Check out our TIFF roundup here, where we pick which films came out at the top of the heap following the sprawling fest).
