Here’s your first look at NickMom’s Instant Mom, the primetime TV block’s first original scripted comedy series, starring Tia Mowry-Hardrict

The half-hour series is set to premiere on Sunday, September 29 at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT on Nick at Nite.

Instant Mom follows young party girl Stephanie (played by Mowry-Hardrict) who trades in cosmos for carpools when she marries an older man, Charlie (Michael Boatman), with three kids. Stephanie slowly grows into her role as a full-time stepmom while struggling to maintain some sense of her fun-loving, slightly irresponsible life.

Sheryl Lee Ralph stars as Stephanie’s mother Maggie, with Sydney Park, Tylen Williams and Damarr Calhoun rounding out the cast, playing the 3 kids.

The series is created by Warren Bell and Jessica Butler and executive-produced by Howard Gould and Aaron Kaplan).

Since leaving The Game last year, Mowry-Hardrict hasn’t skipped a beat. Currently she stars in (with her sister Tamera Mowry-Housley) and executive produces the STYLE network series Tia & Tamera, which set a record as the most watched series launch in the network’s history last season.

She also recently released her debut book Oh Baby!: Pregnancy Tales and Advice from One Hot Mama to Another, filmed & released a fitness DVD, and with her sister, is developing a product line called MILKY! set to be released later this spring, and will appear on the big screen in the upcoming Fox Searchlight Pictures film Baggage Claim, to be released fall 2013.

Med School and Punk Ass Chauncey. Nice.

Originally, it was supposed to be Duane Martin but he did "Real Husbands". I remember when Jessica Butler was talking about pitching the show and it getting picked up and Tia getting the leading role. Glad it's still on track and it looks funny. Can't wait.

ABC has a similar new show coming called "Trophy Wife". Congrats to Tia. I hope the show does well.

I will be watching. Lol med school and punk ass chauncey
