Watch: The 'Escape From Tomorrow' Trailer is a Disney Vision of Hell

“The following motion picture has not been approved for all audiences by The Walt Disney Company,” the trailer for “Escape From Tomorrow,” a.k.a. “the movie that Disney doesn’t want you to see,” cautions. Directed by Randy Moore, the black and white film follows
a family on their twisted final day of vacation in Walt Disney World, and presents the theme park as a horror show. Any parent who has taken their brood to Disneyland knows there is
a dark side to the magic kingdom — who, exactly, are those people inside
the Goofy costumes?

Distributed by Producers Distribution Agency (PDA) in partnership with Abramorama and digital entertainment curator FilmBuff, “Escape From Tomorrow” will get a theatrical release in select markets beginning
on October 11th at the IFC Center in New York. It will also be available
via FilmBuff on VOD day and date with its theatrical release on all
leading On Demand platforms.

In his review from Sundance, Indiewire’s Eric Kohn called the film, which was shot guerilla-style in the theme park, “a labyrinthine descent into the grotesque extremes of a Disneyfied
society,” adding that “‘Escape From Tomorrow’ is surreal for many reasons and wholly
original because of them.” Check out the creepy trailer below:

It actually looks like they're fishing for a lawsuit. It's a PR dream come true.

Great film; highly entertaining. I, too, am fascinated as to how they managed to get a theatrical release without getting sued by Disney. Saw this film at Ebertfest this year and didn't want to miss it because I figured it wouldn't get far beyond the festival circuit, so this is pretty interesting. Perhaps it will be more difficult to distribute on Blu Ray and DVD. Hopefully plenty of people will get the chance to see it. (Not suitable for children.)
