Meryl Streep Gets a Bruising in New Poster for 'August: Osage County'

The claws are out in this new one-sheet for “August: Osage County,” which hits theaters December 25. TOH! liked the film out of TIFF; Meryl Streep is, unsurprisingly, a frontrunner for a Best Actress nomination, as is Julia Roberts for Supporting.

The film, directed by John Wells, is of course adapted from Tracy Letts’ Pulitzer Prize winning play of the same title, which centers on the deleteriously dysfunctional Weston family and its strong-willed (and strong-fisted) women. Ewan McGregor, Margo Martindale, Benedict Cumberbatch, Juliette Lewis, Chris Cooper, Abigail Breslin, Dermot Mulroney, Sam Shepard and Misty Upham round out the sprawling supporting cast.
