Watch: 'Inequality For All' Filmmakers Discuss Country's Widening Economic Gap With Indiewire

Indiewire’s Editor-in-Chief, Dana Harris, sat down for an interview with filmmaker Jacob Kornbluth, and former U.S. Labor Secretary Robert Reich, to discuss their eye-opening film “Inequality for All,” following a screening at the IDA Documentary Screening Series in Los Angeles. A Special Jury Prize winner at Sundance, the film is currently playing in select theaters.

“Inequality for All” looks to raise awareness on the pressing issue of the country’s widening economic gap by exploring pivotal political events such as the occupy movement and other financial crises.

Watch as award-wining filmmaker, Kornbluth (“Haiku Tunnel,” “The Best Thief in the World”), joins activist Reich to consider what they want their audience to come away with from this film. “I’d like for this film to give people a sense of hope,” says Reich.

For never making a film before, you highly excelled at this one! I loved it. Excellent work. It gave me hope that with this knowledge going around, we can change whats going on now in America. How do we get people out in mass to see this? I'm trying at my end to do that, however, sadly too many people are either apathetic or turned off by politics and economics. I find that rather alarming.
