Take A Look 'Inside' Malcolm D. Lee's Upcoming 'The Best Man Holiday'

Here’s a new behind-the-scenes featurette from Malcolm D. Lee’s sequel to The Best Man, titled The Best Man Holiday, which sees the return of the stars from the first film, including Taye Diggs, Nia Long, Morris Chestnut, Harold PerrineauTerrence Howard, Sanaa LathanMonica Calhoun, Melissa De Sousa and Regina Hall, all reprising their roles in a story that is set 15 years after the original.

The story:

When the college friends finally reunite over the Christmas holidays, 15 years after the first film, they will discover just how easy it is for long-forgotten rivalries and romances to be ignited.

The featurette embedded below updates viewers on where key characters currently are in their lives, since the first film, and also drops a few hints as to what audiences can expect in this sequel, beyond what we already know via the sparse logline above.

Universal Pictures has set the release date for the sequel for November 15, 2013 (exactly 2 weeks from today) in what has been a crowded fall for black films.

Given the black cinema classic that the first film has since become, this sequel should be a hit for director Lee.

You can purchase advance tickets HERE.

Watch the featurette below. I suspect there’ll be others released over the next month:

I CAN'T WAIT to see this (such a stan for The Best Man) AND to see it in a packed audience with mainly black folks– which will double the fun of it all!!

My favorite part of the first movie was seeing taye diggs get his ass kicked any chance of that happening again. Lol

I have less than ZERO interest in seeing that predictable crap.

Kojak's Wig

I have a feeling only single ladies in their 40's and gay dudes are going to see this movie.

Donna V.

I am looking forward to this movie. I need an eye candy fix at least once a year. Thank you Mr. Chestnut.

Morris' character is still playing football?!! He is gorgeous and in shape, but wouldn't he be a commentator at this point?

I noticed that there seems to be increased exposure in mainstream press this time. I want to believe that it's because of the popularity of the first film, but I have a feeling that including Eddie Cibrian in the film didn't hurt when working to get into mainstream press.

Monique A Williams

Yay! Still looks awesome to me! #cantwait

Sorry but I have ZERO interest in seeing this film. I've been invited already to five separate advance svreenings and I've RSVP'd to none of them.
