Watch: Pharrell Gets 'Happy' in 24-Hour Interactive Video

It’s been a great week for innovative interactive music videos. First, we saw the first-ever official music video for Bob Dylan’s “Like A Rolling Stone,” an interactive wonder which lets users “flip channels” on a virtual TV while TV personalities lip-synch the song.

Now Pharrell Williamsvideo for “Happy” lets users go around the clock dial to see different people — including celebrities such as Steve Carrell, Jamie Foxx and Magic Johnson, as well as Williams himself — dancing around to the infectiously peppy song. Billed as “the world’s first 24-hour music video,” the film lets you navigate the clock dial and pick a time of day to watch — and then share “the moment” via social media. The video was directed by We Are From L.A. and produced by Iconoclast Interactive. Those of you who spend a lot of time around indie film may see the inspiration of the independently produced “Girl Walk // All Day” feature-length film, set to mash up artist Girl Talk’s latest album, which you can see here

As for “Happy,” you can see segments from the non-interactive portions of the video below or get the full “Happy” experience here.
