Thru all the pooblah, shootemups, blase melodramas, and cliche actors and actresses, this film
Blue is the Warmest Colour or The Life of Adele stands out as a mercuric flash of insight
into teenage romantic perils,a glimpse at the hard side of tenacious sex for love,an ultimate
betrayal and exploitation of innocence.
Adele's performance underlines her talent for sheathing herself in someone else, shedding
her body glove at the end for a sparkling walk away.My thoughts are philosophic in that
Emma's role as the masterful manipulator illumiinates the fresh love of Adele.Take your
kid sister or daughter if you have one for this must see understatement of the predicament
of teenage yearning, sex & love and then denial, like an abnegation that never goes away must
leave the soul haunted forever.
