NBC Sets a Date for 'Hannibal' Season Two

Hannibal” was one of the great (disturbing) pleasures of network television this year — a beautiful nightmare of a drama from “Pushing Daisies” creator Bryan Fuller that followed Dr. Hannibal Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen) and FBI profiler Will Graham (Hugh Dancy) as the two work together as colleagues before the former’s eating habits are discovered. Caroline Dhavernas and Hettienne Park also co-star.

Today, NBC announced that the second 13-episode season of “Hannibal” will premiere on Friday, February 28th at 10pm, taking the place of “Dracula,” which will be finishing up its 10-episode run. The move from Thursday nights to Fridays isn’t the death knell it used to be — Fridays have worked out just fine for fellow genre drama “Grimm,” which will precede “Hannibal.”

“Bryan and his team are running on all creative cylinders once again and have delivered episodes full of intrigue, scares and surprises,” said NBC’s Jennifer Salke in the announcement. “The show continues to astound us with its incredible aesthetic beauty and its amazingly talented cast.”

“Hannibal” made our list of the top 10 television shows of 2013.

Well, that's it I guess, it's over. I really enjoyed 'Hannibal' I was surprised how much gory stuff they showed for a NBC series. This show made 'Dexter' look tame lol but of course, this is NBC and I don't care what anyone says a move to Friday (the death slot) is NEVER a good thing for a TV series. I'll miss it when it's gone.
