New Images From Darren Aronofsky's 'Noah' Float To The Surface

The waters will rise, and God will unleash his furious vengeance next spring….at least at a multiplex near you. Darren Aronofsky is bringing “Noah” to the big screen and numerous (slightly varying) international trailers have surfaced in the past few weeks. And today, a few more images have washed ashore for the Biblical epic.

The new pics center on Russell Crowe‘s titular Noah and Emma Watson‘s Ila, who plays the love interest of Shem (Logan Lerman), Noah’s son. But if the trailers are anything to go by (though they could just be putting a famous face into the marketing) her role is a bit more central to the story, but we’ll have to wait and see. Meanwhile, the new pics also show a brief bit of action, and Jennifer Connelly as Noah’s very understanding wife.

The film will welcome audiences in pairs on March 28, 2014. [Heck Yeah Russell Crowe/Emma Watson Photos]

Logan Lerman plays Ham not Shem, although I would understand why everyone thinks he plays Shem and have Emma Watson play his wife as they were supposedly cast together when Aronofsky saw The Perks of Being a Wallflower. Why he didn't cast them as lovers, I don't know, maybe they'll commit adultery in the movie.

White Noah, white everybody. rewriting and serving power.

God damn, I am excited for this! (no pun intended) Aronofsky is one of the few true artists of cinema out there. Hopefully he will stay true to his vision for this film (though the final product will probably swing in the studio's/Christian audience's favor) Ugh. One of the issues of an auteur working on a blockbuster I guess…

Umm, Logan Lerman plays Noah's son Ham. Douglas Booth plays Shem, Ila's love interest.

Ohhhh I get it.. its the sequel to "A Beautiful Mind" and the prequel to "Perks of Being A Wallflower"
