A first trailer has arrived for John Maloof and Charlie Siskel’s doc “Finding Vivian Maier,” which centers on the great 20th century photographer’s double life. Working as a nanny, Maier secretly took more than 100,000 photographs which she kept hidden in storage lockers, to be discovered decades later. The film examines her life through the photos she took, films and interviews with those she knew and who thought they knew her. Watch below.
The film, which played Berlin, Toronto and DOC NYC, is an IFC Films acquisition. It’s set to have a limited stateside release on March 28, 2014.
