Bill Cosby Heading Back To NBC To Star In New Family Comedy

Bill Cosby Heading Back To NBC To Star In New Family Comedy

Bill Cosby heading back to NBC to star in a new family comedy, produced by former Cosby Show producer Tom Werner

In the untitled series, Cosby will play the head of a multi-generational family, not-so unlike his past comedy series, Cosby Show and Cosby, which aired on CBS years after the Cosby Show ended its successful run on NBC.
No other specifics on the upcoming new series. The project is currently out to potential writers.
Just last month, TV Land aired Cosby’s latest stand-up special, Bill Cosby: Far From Finished, which marked his first full-length stand up program in over three decades. In typical Cosby form, he gave his hilarious point of view on topics he knows well, such as relationships, marriage and of course, children.

Looking forward to it.

I believe he's only doing it cause he doesn't like what he sees from shows geared for blacks. This is just his continuous effort from speeches to tv.

Don't do it, Bill. Have you seen what NBC has done to its comedies and Black stars in the post-Friends years? They are asleep at the wheel. Giving CBS a second go-round would be a better fit if you want to make it though an entire season.

Just to clarify, it hasn't quite been 30 years since his last stand up special. "Bill Cosby:49" came out in 1987.
