Check Out EW's 'Gone Girl' Cover Photographed By David Fincher, Featuring Ben Affleck & Rosamund Pike

Based on a massive, critically acclaimed bestseller, and starring the next Batman, it’s no surprise that 20th Century Fox are getting the promotional ball rolling very early for David Fincher‘s “Gone Girl.” Just after Christmas, the first official image from the movie was released, and to kick off the New Year, here comes another peek at the flick.

Ten months before it hits theaters, EW has put “Gone Girl” on the cover of their 2014 Preview edition, and even more, Fincher himself shot the image. It features lead Ben Affleck caressing the corpse-like body of Rosamund Pike, who goes missing, turning suspicion toward him. In short, it’s another film from Fincher which a lead character who may not be the most endearing person on the planet. “I don’t know what ‘likable’ is. I know people who are doting parents, who give to charity, drive Priuses, all those things, who are insufferable a- -holes,” the director said. “I like people who get s - - - done.”

“Gone Girl” opens on October 3rd. Check out the full image below.

Also, whatever you think of Ben Affleck as an actor, he seems to be pretty perfect casting for the book's character.

Ben, you'll always remain an average, average, average actor at best. Give it up. Let the real actors sink their teeth into the roles.
