The imminent Sundance 2014 Film Festival, kicking off January 16, has added a new film to its program. Richard Linklater’s “Boyhood,” which the director shot over the course of 12 years with his “Before Midnight” star Ethan Hawke, will host special preview screenings at this year’s fest.
It will premiere at the Eccles Theatre on the evening of Sunday, January 19.

— Filmed over short periods from 2002 to 2013, Boyhood is a groundbreaking
cinematic experience covering 12 years in the life of a family. At the center
is Mason, who with his sister Samantha, are taken on an emotional and
