Trailer for the Live Action Version of Miyazaki's "Kiki's Delivery Service"

Here’s the second full trailer for the live-action Kiki’s Delivery Service and also shows the first footage of Kiki’s cat Jiji.

The story of a young witch, who uses her flying broom to start a delivery business, Hayao Miyazaki directed an animated adaptation of the story in 1989 – It is based on the 1985 novel of the same name by Eiko Kadono. Disney released an English language version in 1998. The look of the new live-action film is heavily influenced by Miyazaki’s designs and storytelling.

Directed by Takashi Shimizu, “Kiki” is portrayed by actress Shoshiba Fuka; Kotobuki Minako is the voice of Kiki’s  black cat, Jiji. The film will open in Japan on March 1.

Why did someone make this?

Couldn't they have spent their time doing something original?

Is the world really clamoring for a live action remake of Kiki's Delivery Service?

the actress is way too old to play kiki … isn't kiki supposed to be a 13 year old girl?

the cat looks cute, but I miss the voice of phil Hartman.
