Tribeca Film Fest Launches Interactive Music Film Challenge, with $10K for Winning Filmmakers

The Tribeca Film Festival has unveiled a new competition,
the Tribeca Interactive & Interlude: A Music Film Challenge. The fest
invites storytellers and content creators to work with Interlude’s video
platform to create an interactive music film for major music artists Damon
Albarn, Aloe Blacc, and Ellie Goulding. The winning project for each will
screen at the fest in April.

The Challenge kicks off January 28, when digital
storytellers can create interactive music films for the music tracks “Heavy
Seas of Love” by Damon Albarn from his forthcoming solo album; “Ticking Bomb”
by Aloe Blacc; and “Dead in the Water” by Ellie Goulding.

A jury will select
finalists for each of the three music tracks, with the artists aiding the jury’s
selections. The winning entries will be aligned with the official album campaigns
of Albarn, Robots, Blacc and Goulding.

Plus, the winning filmmakers receive $10,000 each, and get to attend the 2014 Tribeca Film Festival.

Submissions are happening here; they close on March 27.
