Oscar-Nominated 'Gravity' Composer Steven Price Also Scoring Alfonso Cuaron's NBC Series 'Believe'

Oscar nominated “Gravity” composer Steven Price has reteamed with Best Director nominee Alfonso Cuaron for NBC’s “Believe,” the supernatural show Cuaron created and is exec producing, and for which he helmed and wrote the pilot.

The show series debuts March 10 following mega-hit “The Voice.” Price began scoring the show last April, soon after he’d wrapped his work on “Gravity.” (His own guitar playing is part of the show’s music.) Originally a music editor, Price has collaborated on multiple films with Edgar Wright (the upcoming “Ant-Man,” “Scott Pilgrim vs. the World,” “The World’s End” and the Wright-produced “Attack the Block”), and is working on David Ayer’s “Fury,” starring Brad Pitt.

Our TOH! interview with Price is here; Cuaron interview is here.

Here’s the official synopsis for “Believe,” plus the trailer below:

“Believe” tells the tale of a small girl with supernatural
powers beyond her years. As she beings to emerge and learn about these powers
and her origins, she is hunted by evil forces with her only protector being an
ex-con recently released from prison.
