Watch: 3-Minute Olympic Preview For Angelina Jolie's 'Unbroken'

While he didn’t take home any medals, Olympian Louis Zamperini was fast enough that, at the 1936 Berlin Olympics, Adolf Hitler requested a meeting. But a few years later, Zamperini would find his mettle tested in ways he never imagined. And Angelina Jolie will tell his tale.

Unbroken” tells Zamperini’s incredible true story of surviving a Naval plane crash during WWII for 47 days, floating in a raft, only to be captured by the Japanese and sent to a prisoner of war camp. Rising star Jack O’Connell plays the young Zamperini (you can read our recent Berlin interview where O’Connell talks about working on ‘Unbroken’ here) alongside a cast that includes Domhnall Gleeson, Garrett Hedlund, Finn Wittrock, John Magaro, Alex Russell and Miyavi, with a script co-written by the Coen Brothers. And in keeping with the spirit of the Olympics, a three-minute preview/featurette has landed showing the first footage from the film along with key historical context and background.

Take a look below—”Unbroken” opens on Christmas Day.

Good god, that looks stunning! Jolie's last film was criminally underseen, but this one should show people how gifted she is behind the camera.

This is awesome, just watched Jack O'connel interview of '71, plus Domhnall Gleeson, Garrett Hedlund, John Magaro, a solid ensemble cast.

Hope it does well,so far looks great from the preview
