WATCH the First Trailer for Director Angelina Jolie's 'Unbroken'

Director Angelina Jolie’s third film “Unbroken” is a chronicle of the life of Louis Zamperini (Jack O’Connell), an Olympic runner taken prisoner by Japanese forces during World War II. Check out a spirited preview for the film, which aired during the 2014 Sochi Olympics TV broadcast, below.

The film boasts a stellar roster of collaborators, from DP Roger Deakins to screenwriters the Coens, William Nicholson and Richard LaGravenese, who passed around this screenplay adaptation of a book by Lauren Hillenbrand like a hot potato.

I have not yet read, "Unbroken" but I will. I am glad that the awareness of POW's at the hands of the Japanese is finally coming to light; but also said at the death of Louis Zamperini. He surely was a remarkable man. My father too was a Japanese POW; from March 1942 until September 1945. His ship was sank and the crew was captured. He died at the age of 68. Thank you for doing this, not only for Mr. Zamperini but for all the others…….
