Xbox Entertainment Studios Developing TV Series Loosely-Based On The Life Of Rapper Nas

Xbox Entertainment Studios has announced that it is developing a television series based loosely on the life of the rapper Nas.

The series, currently titled Street Dreams, will be set during the 1990s, in Long Island’s Queensbridge housing complex, where the Nas grew up, with Jonathan Levine (Warm Bodies, The Wackness) serving as the project’s writer and director, and Nas himself contributing to the scripting of the series, as well as contributing music to its soundtrack.
Content is king, as the saying goes, and Microsoft’s Xbox Entertainment Studios wants to claim its piece of that pie. Last year, the studio announced several Xbox-exclusive original programs, which will all launch on both the Xbox 360 and Xbox One consoles this year.
