First Poster For 'Annie' Remake Starring Quvenzhané Wallis (First Trailer Debuts Wednesday)

Here’s the first poster – a teaser – released for the upcoming long-in-development remake/reimagining of the Broadway musical Annie, starring Quvenzhané Wallis as the title character, Jamie FoxxRose Byrne, and Cameron Diaz, which Sony Pictures has set for a December 192014 release.

Bobby CannavaleAdewale Akinnuoye AgbajeDorian Missick and Tracie Thoms round out the starring cast.

Filmed in New York City, under Will Gluck’s direction, the project hails from Will & Jada Smith’s Overbrook Entertainment, in partnership with Jay-Z (who’ll also be working on the soundtrack). Gluck revised the script which was originally written by Emma Thompson and Aline Brosh McKenna.

The film’s first trailer is scheduled to debut tomorrow, Wednesday, which we’ll have for you once it drops.
