WATCH: Deleted Musical Number from Steve Coogan's 'The Trip' (NSFW)

Snarky Brit comedian Steve Coogan redeemed himself quite a bit by producing, co-writing and starring in Stephen Frears’ Oscar-nominated drama “Philomena.” Now he’s released a deleted scene from Michael Winterbottom’s 2010 comedy “The Trip” (in advance of the upcoming IFC release of sequel “The Trip to Italy”) that could restore his old image.

Not to put too fine a point on it, in Monty Python style, the refrain of this musical number is “everyone is a bit of a c..t sometimes.”

Here’s the thing: I abhor that word and refuse to use it myself. That said, the clip is hilarious. But even more hilarious is a clip of Coogan and Rob Brydon doing dueling Michael Caine imitations from “The Trip to Italy.” Also below. (My “Philomena” interview with Coogan is here.)
