Watch: First Noir Filled Trailer For 'Frank Miller's Sin City: A Dame To Kill For'

Eight years after audiences first visited the monochrome, rain slicked, bullet filled streets of “Sin City,” are they ready to go there again? Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller certainly hope so, with talk of a TV series and “Sin City 3” already percolating. But to get there, the awkwardly titled “Frank Miller’s Sin City: A Dame To Kill For” will need to make some major waves, and the first trailer is here to entice with more pulpy adventures.

With Josh Brolin, Mickey RourkeJessica AlbaRosario DawsonJaime KingJoseph Gordon-LevittDennis Haysbert, Jamie Chung, Bruce Willis, Eva Green, Julia GarnerRay LiottaJuno TempleJeremy Piven and Stacey Keach all on board, there’s certainly no lacking in star power, and with fresh stories penned for the big screen, even diehard Miller fans will find something new here, though the technique is the same. The question is whether or not this will feel new or like something we saw way back in the day.

Take a look and let us know below. ‘A Dame To Kill For’ arrives on August 22nd.

I guess we know an early contender in the Playlist "craziest/etc." comments of 2014, the 15 Rob Conundrum.

I always imagined while reading the books that Sin City looked pulpy and very film-like, very much in the style of Robert Krasker's B&W cinematography, not super sharp and plastic.

Rodriguez shoots relatively fast and its in post production now and won't see release until August so I'm assuming the effects and all that are being worked on now. And who cares what music they use on the trailer, its not the film.

Meh. (I am not any of the previous Robs.)

No escaping Dub Step, not even in Sin City.

Hey guys, I just wanted to say that the title is not that…. oh, never mind.

Interesting to note that Mickey Rourke's career is basically back where it was when he made the first Sin City.

I think it looks good!

Looks a little on the cheap side, no? Like Brolin falling out the window… c'mon.

feel like this movie is coming out a few years too late. plus, frank miller behind the director's chair again does not bode too well.

Three Robs? I like where this is going.

I don't get what's so awkward about the title either.

Why are you guys so hung up on that title? It's really not that awkward…
