Bryan Singer’s Sex Abuse Accuser Is Teaming With Documentarian Amy Berg

Bryan Singer's Sex Abuse Accuser Is Teaming With Documentarian Amy Berg

Things just got worse for “X-Men” director Bryan Singer.

In the wake of the recent sex abuse allegations, The Daily Mail reports news that Oscar-nominated filmmaker Amy Berg is teaming up with Singer’s accuser, Michael Egan, for a documentary about children molested by the Hollywood community. Berg confirmed to the Daily Mail that she has been working on the untitled documentary for two years.

Berg’s narrative debut, “Every Secret Thing” (written by Nicole Holofcener), will make its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival on Sunday. She received an Oscar nomination in 2006 for her first film,”Deliver Us From Evil,” a documentary about sex abuse cases in the Roman Catholic Church. Berg’s most recent doc was “West of Memphis,” about the West Memphis Three, produced by Peter Jackson.

Egan filed the lawsuit on Wednesday, weeks before Singer’s new “X-Men” film is set to open wide. In the lawsuit, Egan claims Singer sexually assaulted him several times in the late 1990s, and that he was forcibly raped by Singer when he was 15. Egan, now 31, is seeking unspecified damages.

With the controversy swirling, Singer has canceled two major appearances in support of his new movie: He’s skipping this weekend’s WonderCon in Anaheim, and the “Creativity Conference” in Washington.

Amy is so thrilled with herself and her films are not that great. What she's good at is self-promotion.

Wow, she totally give instant credibility to Singer's accuser. Her past documentary work has been stellar – DELIVER US FROM EVIL was riveting! Can't wait to see the doc on Hollywood elites who molest young people. I have a feeling molestation is widespread in tinseltown, especially when you think of the number of hungry young actors and actresses out there who are very naive and vulnerable.

She did great work on the West Memphis Three. Helped get them released from prison.

Ah yes, we live in an age where an accusation is considered proof.

I would read that piece Daily Mail closer and watch your headline. "Teaming-up" is a little much.
