Go Beatles Crazy This Summer with 'A Hard Day's Night' Restoration in Theaters (UPDATED WITH NEW TRAILER)

Janus Films is set to release a brand new 4K restoration of the
Beatles’ delirious, anything-goes musical “A Hard Day’s Night” — where John,
Paul, George and Ringo play slapstick versions of themselves, hounded by gaga fans —  in more than 50 cities over the July 4 weekend,
including New York’s Film Forum, LA’s Cinefamily and San Francisco’s Castro

The film is celebrating its fiftieth anniversary this year, and
was recently unveiled at the TCM Classic Film Festival in Hollywood. It was
restored from the original camera negative by the team over at the Criterion
Collection. The result, approved by director Richard Lester, has a remixed and
remastered soundtrack by producer Giles Martin at Abbey Road Studios.

Classic songs include “I Should Have Known Better,” “If I Fell,”
Can’t Buy Me Love,” and the title track, natch, “A Hard Day’s Night.” Check out
some funny clips below.
