Mia Wasikowska and Adam Driver Make Love Among the Outback in New 'Tracks' Poster

Though Venice Film Festival favorite “Tracks” won’t be hitting theaters until May 23, get a taste of the wilds of the outback with a new poster for the film starring Mia Wasikowska and Adam Driver. Directed by John Curran (“The Painted Veil”), West Coasters can catch “Tracks” at the San Francisco International Film Festival later this month. (Poster below.)

Written by Marion Nelson from Robyn Davidson’s autobiographical book, “Tracks” stars Wasikowska as Davidson herself, a bona fide trailblazer who in 1977 at age 27 schlepped 1700 miles across the Australian desert with four camels and a dog. Adam Driver of “Girls” costars as National Geographic photographer Rick Smolan, who documented Davidson’s journey.

The sublime 24-year-old Mia Wasikowska has a great year ahead, with Jim Jarmusch’s bloody good “Only Lovers Left Alive” opening next week, Richard Ayoade’s “The Double” hitting in May, and David Cronenberg’s “Maps to the Stars” wrapping up — and potentially appearing at Cannes.

The Weinstein Company will distribute “Tracks.” Watch the official trailer here, and a clip here. Read our Venice review here.
